On Wednesday, May 25, 2016, The Links, Incorporated will participate in the 12th annual Louisiana Links Day at the Capitol (LLDAC). LLDAC provides the opportunity for members to present our policy agendas to our elected representatives and work with them to integrate these issues into the state’s legislative priorities.
The legislative policy agenda aligns with strategic policy goals of The Links, Incorporated of working to eliminate the structural and systemic barriers that prevent full access to educational opportunities and health care for the communities we serve. These strategic priorities include disparities in access to health care, childhood obesity, equal pay, STEM education, mentoring, anti-bullying initiatives and civic education.
